Some Florida home owners (and some of the many who would like to be Florida home owners!) just want to enjoy their place in the sun, regardless of how their piece of paradise was built. Others are fascinated with the construction process and they like to see how it’s done and how long it all takes. So if you’re one of the latter group, you might be interested to view some pictures of one Orlando vacation home that is part-completed.
The builder is one of the largest in the USA and they are doing well with the schedule on this one. This home is a “to be built” – our clients, the buyers, decided on the lot that they wanted in October and then made decisions on options such as carpets, kitchen cabinets and so on. At the time of writing (December), progress has been good, as shown in the photographs below. The outer shell is complete, plus internal framing. The next key step is insulation followed dry-wall. Excavating the pool and then finishing that aspect has not yet started, but that’s a normal part of the process.
From our experience, it looks as if this home should be completed within the next two to three months and our initial examination of the quality of work gives us positive “vibes”. Onwards!
